Music play school

Registration of new children for the free places in the groups is open until 1.9.2024. Registration forms are available at https://konservatorio.inschool.fi/browsecourses

The basic activities of the Music Play School include family and play groups, a music carousel for pre-school children and a musical instrument group for first-graders.

Children of music school age who have begun their instrumental studies at the Music School are allowed to participate in one of the music school's play groups.

Family groups for children under 3 years old:

  • Children come to class with an adult for 30 min/week.

Playgroups for 3-6 year olds:

  • Children attend class without an adult, duration 3-4 year olds 45 min/week, for 5-6 year olds 45 min/week OR 60 min/week.

Music carousel for 6-year-olds:

  • Instrumental lessons in pairs 3×30 min/instrument (6 instruments/academic year, i.e. 18 times, with emphasis in the autumn term) and muskari 45 min/week throughout the academic year. The introduction to the instrument takes place mainly in the autumn semester, while the spring semester is mostly muskari.

Soittismuskari for 7-8 year olds:

  • Individual instrument lessons 30 min and muskari group 45 min/week. The instrument for instrumental tuition is chosen at the application stage and lessons are given on the chosen instrument throughout the school year. If possible, the instrument can be hired from the conservatory.

  • The instruments for the 2024-25 academic year are bassoon, accordion, kantele, clarinet, French horn, trombone, tenor horn and violin.

Muskari en español classes are taught entirely in Spanish!

TaMu – Tanskari-muskari

  • The aim is to strengthen a positive relationship between dance and music through play and experiential learning. Classes provide the joy of success and the exhilaration of dance and music. The class is taught by two teachers, both dance and music professionals.

Kuvismuskari – Let's rejoice in music and visual arts!

  • explores the atmosphere of music and visual arts through play and experimentation. It is organised at Tammela School in collaboration with the Sara Hildén Academy.
